The good news is that we can now confirm that our 50th Anniversary event will be held, at Burlington House, on 19th September 2024. We are also pleased to be able to say that there is (so far!) only one change to the line up; details to follow.
Hopefully, most of those who had planned to come on the 8th May will be able to come in September; we will miss you if you can’t. In the meantime, everything else remains as planned and the booking form is open. No need to rebook if you did so before we had to postpone.
The Hydrogeological Group is 50 years old this year! To celebrate we’ll be hosting a conference at Burlington House on 8th May. The meeting will be a exploration of how hydrogeology has progressed over the last 50 years, while also linking the past to the future with discussion on what we can learn going forward.
We will have a number of talks from leading hydrogeologists focussing on how different areas of hydrogeology have progressed over the years. There will also be a discussion panel for the speakers and we will be awarding John Heathcote the Whitaker medal. Finally, no anniversary celebration would be complete without a celebratory cake and a wine reception!

Do please, if you are registering as a Geological Society Member, record your membership number in the notes and comments box. If you don’t, we’ll have to chase or charge the higher rate!
A 20% discount is available for group bookings of 5+ people (any registration type). You must all belong to the same organisation, pay in one transaction, and provide a list of attendees on booking.
