Groundwater Modellers’ Forum 20th anniversary

Thursday 17th October 2024 | Priory Rooms, Birmingham

The Groundwater Modellers’ Forum is an established community but with its doors open to new members.  We are celebrating 20 years of the Groundwater Modellers’ Forum this year!  Our regular conference is back in October and we are looking forward to seeing old and new members.  Attached are a full list of abstracts and event programme.

The conference will follow our traditional format of succinct lectures with plenty of time for discussion and our popular modellers’ fair, a structured poster showcase which allows delegates to engage in detail with each presenter.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Achievements in the last 20 years; new challenges for the future”.  We have invited our presenters to tell us how knowledge and techniques have developed over the last 20 years and what are the upcoming challenges that we will need to turn our attention to in the future.  Our presenters will show us results and reflections from a broad range of sectors and research areas.

We will be in central Birmingham (Priory Rooms, Bull Street) on Thursday 17th October.  We include an option to attend online.  Although in-person interaction is very valuable, we are keen to open the conference to those for whom travel is difficult, or who are located overseas.  For bookings, please complete the form below, taking care to select In-Person or Remote.  In-Person bookings have a carbon offset fee of £1.12, which will go towards a United Nations carbon offset scheme.

We are thankful to our sponsors, Groundwater Science, WSP and INTERA.
