We are excited to announce the upcoming Early Career Hydrogeologists’ Conference, on 30th November 2023 to be held at Birmingham University. The event will be jointly hosted by the Hydrogeological Group of the Geological Society London and the IAH-GB Chapter. This will be an opportunity for Masters students, PhD students, and Early Career Professionals (ECPs) in Hydrogeology to explore the field, understand career pathways and present their work in a friendly environment. It will also be an opportunity for companies and senior professionals to network with the next generation of hydrogeologists, and provide an insight into possible career opportunities.
The conference will include talks on a wide range of topics, with speakers showcasing different sectors within the field of Hydrogeology. You will have the opportunity to take part in technical and career workshops, with a careers panel discussion to close the day. Please find the programme here. What to expect on the day:
Delegates should arrive at 10:30am. Tea and Coffee will be served before the day starts at 11am. We will be based in the Dome Lecture Theatre in the Earth Science Department at Birmingham University. The best way to find it is search “Lapworth Museum” and then follow the signs upstairs. Formal proceedings will finish at 5pm, with the drinks reception running until 6:30pm
